Beginning Hip Hop - Blitz
Hip-Hop - A 1 hour class beginning with a dancers warm up, followed by a  choreographed dance primarily danced to hip hop music. This includes a wide range of styles such as breaking, popping, tutting, locking, and krumping which were developed in the 1970s.  What separates hip-hop dance from other forms of dance is that it is freestyle in nature.

Come learn the fundamentals of the most crunk style of dance in pop culture today - Hip Hop!  You will learn freestyle dance moves, as well as choreographed routines, so bring a friend - get ready to jam out and get it poppin’!

Krumping“Kingdom Radically Uplifted Mighty Praise” - extremely energetic, expressive, exaggerated moves of the arms, legs, chest, head and feet.

LockingFast, precise hand and arm movements with relaxed hips and legs, where movements are large and exaggerated.

PoppingQuick muscle contractions and relaxations which create a bodily jerk in the dancer *called pop, tick or hit, set to specific beats or rhythms in the music.

WavingAchieve the look of a wave going through the body.

Beginning Hip Hop is for dancers with little or no Hip Hop experience and who are ready to challenge his or her self in new ways with old and new friends.  The class is aimed at teaching fundamental skills and building the confidence to truly break out and perform.

Street Jazz - Frances


This class is a collaboration of many techniques and styles of dance. Dancers learn music video-style choreography and original Broadway pieces. Frances uses touches of jazz and ballet technique combined with sharp hip hop movement in high-energy, dynamic combinations.
