If you truly want to be part of a heart-conscious, touch-positive community, come to HeartTribe-Austin's YUM! Party.

You need to arrive by 8:00 pm for the Opening Circle, which is where you will be introduced to LoveTribe's core values, and where we will create a safe space for our evening together. We will be doing exercises directed at acknowledgingour deeper, spiritual connection and practicing mutually consensual, non-sexual, touch. We strive to create an environment where you are accepted for who you are; and where you can risk asking for what you need.

After the Opening Circle:

Dancing (shoes-off, clothes-on, free style, no partner needed) to world music (probably a variety of musical styles).
A snuggle area with cushions, pillows, plush animals, etc.
At least two massage tables for clothes-on massage.
Potluck snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Please bring some luscious food to share.

Creative, sensuous clothing is encouraged, street clothes okay. Please, no scent.

Location: Galaxy Dance Studios, 1700 S Lamar, Suite 338, Austin, TX: Galaxy Dance Studios is in the far SW corner of the South Lamar Business Park and cannot be seen from the street. It is half a block south of the South Austin Museum of Popular Culture. The building and restrooms are handicap accessible.

"HOW CAN I HELP?"

We will be setting up the space between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm. If you want to help set-up, please come by 6:45 pm. (We expect the doors to be locked until 6:30 pm.)

We would like to have more mattresses, cushions, pillows, blankets, plush animals, etc. for the Snuggle Area than we had at the last YUM! We call this stuff "Fluff." If you have big Fluff that is difficult to transport, such as a mattress, please contact Carole at CaroleZoom@... or 541-954-8373, to make sure it is still needed. If you do bring big Fluff, please come before 7:00 pm. Feel free to bring smaller Fluff with you, without contacting anyone, and no need to come before 7:30 pm; be sure to take it with you when you leave.

If you have decorative (light-in-weight) wall hangings, we can probably use them if you can come before 7:00 pm. Contact Carole if you have questions: CaroleZoom@... or 541-954-8373.

At this time, we believe we have all the massage tables we need.

We need two volunteer Greeters to sign people in, and take donations at the door. You will need to arrive by 7:00 pm and stay at the door till the Opening Circle begins at about 8:00 pm. Contact Don at AustinDon@... or 512-372-8994.

We will need volunteers to help cleanup after the party, no need to contact anyone ahead of time, just see if your help is needed when the cleanup starts at 12:30 am.

 AUSTIN BLUES ASSOCIATION

This year, we're really putting the "Party" into Austin Blues Party.

Dancing, music, and fun!

We'll be showcasing great blues bands from the Austin area, and bringing you DJs from all over the country to spin your favorite tunes.

We'll also be bringing you all of the Austin hospitality you can handle, with great food, great people, and a checklist of things to do around town.

If you're new to the game, you can spend your days in a progressive series of classes designed to bring you up to speed so you can look cool out on the dance floor.

 Austin Blues Party got its start in 2007, and in its fourth year, continues to be a place where people can come and have a good time. We bring in the best instructors from around the nation and have some fantastic classes, but we never lose focus on the party. ABP shies away from competitions and performances because we want to have as much social dancing as possible! This is a place where you can meet your friends, hear some great music, and have some mind-blowing dances.

Here's the team making ABP4 come together:

• Philippe Wilson — Organizer with killer facial hair...
• Chris Mayer — Teacher Liaison and Volunteer Wrangler (and you thought cats were challenging...)
• Megan Repar — Imported from Houston, or Portland, or somewhere to deal with housing. Be kind.

Austin Blues Party is made possible each year by the Blues Association of Austin. BAA is also in charge of the Friday night weekly Blues dance in Austin, Kick Butt Blues.
